School holidays. Jo and her girls were heading down for a vacation with Andrew to meet his kids for the first time. They stopped overnight half way, Coffs Harbour and went beach walking and had a late night swim, even though it was freezing. Next day was a quick visit to The Big Banana for a toboggan ride and The Clog Barn to see the miniature village then off down the highway to Newcastle. They all stayed in the caravan park in a cabin, went on the ferry and walked around town. Took in a tour of the big Fort Scratchley and as it was Metiesha’s birthday, went shopping all day and laughed all night. Andrew’s kids stayed overnight that night and again, night beach walks with torches. The trip home always seems longer as exhaustion kicks in. Plenty of funny moments, a few plants still growing well, and a lifetime memory of our first family union holiday.
